About Us

BizPlacements.com is a Business Brokerage and Placement Firm dedicated to helping people successfully buy and sell small businesses. It embraces the unique approach and insights of Jay Fenello, company founder, and the other associates, affiliates and consultants who are on our team:

Jay started his career as a computer engineer for IBM, Boca Raton, where he worked on a new product called the IBM PC. After successfully designing a PC card and its supporting software, he left IBM for a small start-up called Core International. As one of 13 employees working in an old house, Jay helped that company more than quadruple sales and double in size in less than a year.

That experience taught Jay many lessons, and helped him to recognize his preference for smaller companies. Soon after, Jay returned to school where he earned an MBA in Entrepreneurship from one of the top programs in the nation. He has been involved in small businesses and start-ups ever since.

Today, Jay is helping people buy and sell small businesses.

April Abbott,
Franchisee Consultant

April started her career working for Citibank, managing and motivating a staff of up to 25 customer service reps while still in her 20’s. April then moved to the fledgling telecommunications field with a then no name company called MCI. Over the next 11 years, April worked for several telcom companies and rose to the position of Director of Sales US.

April left Corporate America in 2004, when she purchased several businesses, including a multi-unit franchise that she successfully grew and sold in 2007.

Today, April is helping potential business owners sift through the overwhelming number of franchise choices, to find one that's right for you.

Randy Trotter,
Franchisor Consultant

Randy's professional experience includes the successful launch of a retail pet store franchise, as well as an ongoing role in franchise development, sales, and marketing for several local and national franchise chains. He holds a real estate Brokers license in the State of Georgia, and is active in several commerical real estate firms as well.

Today, Randy is helping business owners and franchisors expand their brand through franchising, area development, site selection, store layout, etc.

Kim Trotter,
Commercial Leasing Consultant

Kim has over 15 years experience in the commercial real estate market, with a focus on consulting, landlord and tenant representation in the franchising market.

Kim is standing by to help you with site selection, lease negotiations, etc.
